Trivia:

According to an interview with Mike Myers on "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" (1996), he worked with a dialect coach to learn a general Irish accent instead of the specific Dublin accent. When he did his first scene with Dubliner Ian Costello, Costello hated Myers' accent so much that he chased him off the set. Filming of Myers' scenes had to be delayed until he learned the accent from Dubliners.

Terrible Waste Of Time

This is probably the worst film I have ever seen. Mike Myers tries to be a dramatic actor and fails miserably. The children, who have the major roles, are almost impossible to understand and are really unpleasant characters. It was not even worth the price of the rental.
