No one in the Braverman clan has ever been one to mince words, especially when it comes to the comings and goings of their loved ones, but “Do Not Sleep with Your Autistic Nephew’s Therapist” really showed the effect that words can have on someone else, especially when the action behind them is rough enough to deal with.
Instead of a mercilessly dragged out game of cat and mouse with his (former?) fiancée Jasmine, Crosby came out and confessed to his one night stand with Gaby, thanks in no part to a little liquor. It was nice to see them get it out into the open, as well as not go the typical route of drawn out confrontations and catfighting, but your heart just had to break for the Cros-man. Not for losing Jasmine, as her violent (and surprisingly vulgar) reaction to finding out suggests some issues of her own,...

We've been tracking the progress of director Bob Willems' Renfield: The Undead for quite a while, and now it looks like we're approaching the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel. The rough cut is done, and an official website and trailer are both due in the next few weeks. We're not sure how they found the time, but the filmmakers just sent over a couple of new concept posters for us to share with our readers.
Willems and crew are in heavy post and compositing for the film, but there is some other news: Jeff Walton (Curse of the Puppet Master, Shrieker, Invisible Mom, Invisible Dad, The Brotherhood 1&2) is composing the music for Renfield: The Undead. In addition to premiering at the Bram Stoker Film Festival in Whitby, England this October, Renfield will also be screened at The American Film Market in November.

Okay, new rule: If you're a filmmaker about to shoot yourself a western, and you've gone to all the trouble of scouting locations, assembling a game cast, shelling out for the costumes, and have then gone and rented a digital camera to shoot it on - and you're name isn't Michael Mann - then stop what you're doing and down tools immediately, because you're undermining all your own efforts and fundamentally wasting your time. To be fair, there aren't many genres that the crisp, polished sheen of Dv will just out-and-out ruin, but the western is certainly one of them.
It's perhaps somewhat indicative of writer/director Fred Olen Ray, who has spent his career flitting back-and-forth between candy coated family films the likes of Invisible Dad, and softcore porn the likes of Genie in a String Bikini. While titles such as those might occupy different ends of the video store,...
