"R" rated scenes for this film were shot inside Palisades Park Junior High School. This led to the temporary suspension of the principal who approved the filming for a location fee of $1500. The story made local and national news, but a protest by students got him reinstated.

In Spain it was release directly on video and its title was changed to "Sin faldas y a lo loco" ("Without skirts and crazy"), a parody of the title that Some Like It Hot (1959) had in Spain, which was "Con faldas y a lo loco" ("With skirts and crazy").
