Horrid movie with few good qualities (contains Spoilers)
TheDudeLebowski15 June 2001
Warning: Spoilers
Michael St. Gerard (who played Elvis Presley on the TV series Elvis) stars as Everette in this teen lust vehicle. The opening scene is in the classroom where all of Everette's female classmates shed their tops. This is actually a pretty good scene. To tell you the truth I got bored with it after that so I hit fast forward. About halfway through the movie the male characters have dream sequences with incredibly hot chicks. No sex, but some hot topless babes. The scene is about 5 minutes long. After that scene though, I got bored again and hit fast forward. Nothing worth watching after that. If you watch this movie, watch the above scenes I mentioned and don't waste your time with any others. I give it a 2 out of 10 (it would get a 1 if not for those 2 great scenes)

I hope I've got the right movie here....
SwatchDog7 July 2000
Senior Week was on here late night around two years ago and it's all coming back to me. It's another one of those horny teenager films of the 80s in the grand tradition of Porkys and Screwballs. I can't remember much except for these dudes going away for the weekend and one of them has some English essay to write. What they hoped would be a weekend of sun and fun gets interrupted with the arrival of the English teacher fish-hag woman herself. I don't know why she bothered going there, but I do recall some inane scene involving a ketchup fight between her and the proprietors of the local milk bar. I pray this is the right movie.

If it's at the video store, check it out.. pretty much a horny teen film with some weird sexual fantasy scenes - Was that shaving cream or whipped cream?

Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!

Remember that scene in "A Clockwork Orange" where Malcolm McDowell's character stares at the movie screen in absolute horror and pain, unable to turn away? That was how I felt watching this movie. Even the occasional topless bimbo cannot make this movie watchable. Honestly, I can't see anyone watching this in full from beginning to end, unless you are a sadomasochist like myself. Well I have already wasted more electrons typing review than this movie is worth.

"Week"lings....
Mister-64 October 1999
"Senior Week" is not as good as "Animal House", but it's still not worse than the millions of rip-offs that it spawned.

It's just...equal.

Okay, St. Gerard (all hair, no brains) is a loser student who has to get a term paper done so that he can graduate but he also HAS TO go to Ft. Lauderdale for a weekend of drink and debauchery. So he does what any right-thinking young man would do: he hops in a car with a fat slob and the school nerd and high-tails it to Florida and makes the nerd write his paper while he and the slob cruise the beaches.

Okay, you've probably seen this one before and you can probably see the jokes coming down Main Street with a bright red flasher blinking on them. There's rampant female nudity, lunk-headed guys and adults as bright as a cord of firewood, just like in all the rest of this film's ilk. So, what makes this one more worthy of a review than the others?

Well, mainly, the nerd gets a pretty cool girl for himself.

That's the only redeeming factor, but hey, nerds are people, too.

Two stars. One for the nerd and one for his girlfriend.

Undistinguished '80s sex comedy
Leofwine_draca27 November 2016
Warning: Spoilers
SENIOR WEEK is nothing more than a cheap American high school sex comedy about a nerd and some of his buddies who decide to go on a road trip and find themselves entangled with various beautiful women along the way. This film is heavily indebted to many others that came previously but singularly fails to distinguish itself in any way. The story is predictable, the characters are unremarkable, and the script is deeply unfunny.

It doesn't help that the lack of any recognisable cast members gives this an instant obscure quality or that the cheapness of the filming techniques give it a Z-grade feel. About the only thing it has going for it is the nudity and sexual content, which the director dwells upon at every opportunity to the exclusion of nearly everything else. It's a real time waster of a film.

Senior Week
BandSAboutMovies30 September 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Directed by Stuart A. Goldman - who mostly directed music-based movies and also produced Leona Helmsley: The Queen of Mean - and written by Jan Kubicki, Senior Week is led by Everett Michael St. Gerard, who played Elvis in Great Balls of Fire! And the Elvis TV miniseries, as well as Link Larkin in Hairspray), who has hired someone else to write his final essay and gets caught by Mrs. Bagley (Barbara Gruen). She gives him another chance and he does the same thing, kidnapping the nerdy Jody (Gary Keer) to write his paper while everyone else parties at the beach, which brings Mrs. Bagely after Everett.

Our protagonist brings along his friends Jamie (George Robert Klek) and Kevin (Alan Naggar), which angers Jamie's possessive girlfriend Tracy (Jennifer Gorey, Runway Dreams), who brings her friend Stacy (Leesa Zelkin) to hunt him down. Adding to the proceedings is that Everett promised Jody that he will find him a girl, which our geek does on his own by hooking up with Tracy's cousin Debbie Sue. (Devon Skye).

This movie actually had some publicity, as the opening scene - filmed at New Jersey's Palisades Park High School - had nudity in an actual school and it got principal Nicholas Rotonda suspended. Maybe the school board was wondering why someone was still making a teen sex comedy in 1987 in the time between the Porky's clones and the American Pie clones. He was reinstated after his students protested and asked for their beloved principal - the kind of guy that had no problem with bare breasts in a teen comedy - be rehired.

Fun little movie
kbeard-222 June 2000
Granted this is no cinematic masterpiece, but sometimes I like stupid movies. This is one of those classic 80's movies that's fun to watch after midnight. If you like movies like, State Park, Loose Screws, The Allnighter, One Crazy Summer, etc. you'll probbly like this.

Routine teen comedy
lor_27 March 2023
My review was written in August 1988 after watching the movie on Vestron video cassette.

"Senior Week" is a ho-hum video release in the overworked teen comedy genre. It ads little more to the field than documenting the shift of Florida spring break from Fort Lauderdale to Daytona Beach.

Michael St. Gerard leads a quartet of New Jersey students at Nixon High School who head to the Sunshine State on the week before graduation. Overworked and uninteresting plot hook has him forcing classmate Gary Kerr to write his term paper, required by a mean teacher (Barbara Gruen, overacting horrendously), or our hero won't graduate.

In the wake of "Porky's" and scores of imitations, the antics here are very tame, padded out by extraneous dream sequences featuring girls going topless. Complications engendered when teach and the guys' girlfriend pursue the quartet to Florida are strictly mechanical.

Cast handles the script's stereotypes (nerd, fatso, etc.) with enthusiasm. Biggest letdown is that the hero's extremely beautiful dream girl (Jaynie Poteet) is given nothing to do and minimal screen time. Tech credits are okay.
