Alan Thicke, widely known for his starring role as Dr. Jason Seaver on Growing Pains, has died, People confirms. He was 69.
A rep for Alan’s son, Robin Thicke, confirmed to People on Tuesday that the veteran actor, who starred in Growing Pains from 1985-1992, passed away.
The Los Angeles Times spoke with Robin Thicke on Tuesday evening, and he called his father “the greatest man I ever met.” He confirmed that Thicke suffered a heart attack while playing hockey with his son Carter, and that one of the last things he said was a compliment to his son on a nice shot.

Much to my delight, Thanksgiving showed that Scream Queens was capable of maintaining the high quality of last week's sterling episode. The show had something of a wobble halfway through its first season but seemed to make up for it with Seven Minutes In Hell and Ghost Stories. This week, like a lot of Us TV, Scream Queens celebrated Thanksgiving, delivering another terrific episode.
What's instantly noticeable about Thanksgiving, and perhaps it's because of the holiday it centres around, is that it sees the show retracting its claws. Brad Falchuk's script was all about family and being with your loved ones, and so Thanksgiving took a bit of a slower, left-field approach, building up to a thrilling conclusion.
