One in a wave of historical-themed porn movies that filled screens - and particularly Italian screens - during the 1990s. The king of this genre was the exploitation stalwart Joe D'Amato, whose name is linked to this one, although Luca Damiano is the credited director.
The gurning buffoon at the film's centre is played by Christoph Clark, quite a veteran of such productions. The wraparound story is a modern day one, filmed in the Philippines, which sees Clark discovering an old carpet and a toy lantern and bringing to life an Oriental genie who proceeds to make his erotic fantasies come true.
It's wall-to-wall sex throughout with a variety of four exotic women, and it's all very basic and not particularly appetising. One of the director's most creative choices is to employ some off-the-wall camera angles via some extremely crude special effects. However, the fact that the entire thing takes place in a single dressed set and that the costumes look particularly cheap means that this is low budget entertainment indeed.
