Number 9 in the Red Shoe Diaries series consists of the following three segments:
"Gina": A woman goes to Paris and housesits for Shelby, a lady whom she has never even met. She becomes obsessed with Shelby and goes through all of her things. She wears Shelby's clothes and even decides it's a good idea to assume her identity. Since the main character seems to suffer from a rather severe emotional disorder, this episode is a real turnoff.
"Hotline": A young married couple have their differences. The husband wants the little lady to stay at home. The wife decides otherwise. She goes out and gets a job as a receptionist for a phone sex company. The husband is not pleased when he finds out. Yawn.
"Love At First Sight": This one is a convoluted mess. I'll keep it simple and leave out the extraneous stuff. A woman takes a gun from an officer and some guy uses it to rob an armored vehicle. The two of them take off with the money and come across some lady in the middle of the desert hitchhiking. She gets in their car and tells them that if someone doesn't make love to her in the next five minutes, she is gonna blow her brains out. It goes even farther downhill from there.
Well...I continue to wonder how "Red Shoe Diaries" lasted as long as it did. Zalman King has no idea how to tell a good story and he is completely clueless when it comes to romance or eroticism. 1/10
