Storyline

A poor little rich girl is sold into slavery to pay for her dead father's gambling debts in Renaissance France. The married couple who buy Cecily try to have their way with her, but she decides to have none of it, and runs away. The husband, in hot pursuit and with loaded pistol, dies in the chase. Poor Cecily, while on the run, unwittingly enters the land of a rich countess, and witnesses sexual debauchery. With the excuse of a trespassing rap, the evil countess tries to use our hapless heroine for her own wicked ways. Cecily escapes, and hopes to purchase a boat ticket to America. Unfortunately for her, she is caught, arrested, and thrown into a dungeon where she is raped, whipped and tortured on the rack by fiendish witch-hunters! No longer able to stand it, she agrees to the corrupt prosecutor's condition to return to the countess, satisfying her every wish. See it for the dungeon scene.

A pseudo porn film from the 1970's, the only reason to see this film is the dungeon scene, which is fairly lengthy. Other than that, the movie has no redeeming social value.

Angela Fields plays Cecily, who is sold into servant-hood to pay for her father's debts. After a bit of sexual debauchery, Cecily decides to flee the estate and is pursued by the man of the house, who suffers a fatal heart attack during the chase and dies. Cecily makes her way onto another estate where she is captured for theft and thrown into prison. Which leads us to the dungeon scene.

Cecily is kept in a cage while another girl is interrogated as a witch. The girl is nude, stretched on a rack, and whipped as the prosecutor tries to break her. After passing out from the beating, the girl is revived with water and burned with a hot iron, after which she soon dies. Cecily is then strung up nude in a cage, then put in the stocks and beaten, and then placed on the rack as well. She's raped, whipped, and finally agrees to go back to the estate as a sex slave to the mistress of the manor. During this whole scene, Cecily is narrating, in a very Gothic manner, of the horrors she's seeing. This is more of a distraction than a "mood improver".

I have to give credit to the blonde actress who is strung on the rack, beaten, and burned. She's very lovely and does a good job of playing a victim. Too bad the film's credits don't list her name. I'd like to see some of her other films.
