Trivia

Before performing the "Grandpa's Four Aces" illusion, David Copperfield shows a home movie about his grandfather and tells the audience that he was the first person to ever teach him magic, a card trick, when he was about 10 years old, and the trick consisted in four aces that could appear and disappear. Copperfield needed many months to learn to perform it. Then he made a promise to his grandfather: if he ever become a magician he would perform that trick in his shows. His grandfather died before he ever did a big show, but he says: «Grandpa... if you're listening, tonight I'm gonna keep my promise». See more »
