Storyline

Handsome Korean war veteran Jerry Shand gets a particularly enthusiastic welcome in his country home town because of a picture in Life magazine of him as Marilyn Monroe's driver during her visit to the troops. Laundretet daughter Leslie waited for fiancé Jerry faithfully, but now he has a scholarship he's seduced at college by spoiled, fickle factory heiress Claire Gundry. To pay for his studies, father being disabled, he hopes his looks will pay off as salesman, but fails bitterly with Life Magazine. So he transfers to Sam's funeral insurances, where the profit is in canceling every account failing to pay up in consecutive weeks, but feels guilty and covers for some slum clients. I was in this movie
30 August 2005 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

I was in this movie as an extra and I helped build some sets. Most of this movie was shot in Chester, South Carolina in 1996. I do have one frustrating problem, I have never seen it. If someone has a copy or knows where I can purchase one, PLEASE, PLEASE Email Me Subject: BLESSED ASSURANCE. Thanks so much! By the way, Grant Show isn't that cute in person but George Wendt is one funny man! The cast and a few select people, including myself, ate dinner one night at "The Summit", a great place to eat in Chester. Lori Laughlin is very small! I never knew that from watching her on Full House. As for the rest of the cast, I did not spend much time with them. I do know that it is one of my fondest memories and I'd like to see the actual finished product. Your help would be appreciated. Thanks ~Anna
