Storyline

In this anthology, we see a series of stories are directly adopted from the Peanuts comic strip. These include Charlie Brown having strange visions and rashes of baseballs and becoming the admired summer camp president known only as "Sack" for the grocery bag he wears as a result. In another tale, Charlie Brown runs away to escape prosecution for literally biting his hated kite eating tree. Also Lucy determined to rid Linus of his security blanket over his protests. Quotes

[Charlie Brown is flying his kite, and as expected, lands it in the jaws of the Kite Eating Tree]
Charlie Brown: You stupid tree! If you don't stop biting my kite, I'll bite *you*!
[Naturally, the tree refuses to oblige, and continues to gorge on the kite]
Charlie Brown: All right... you asked for it!
[Grabs hold of the tree, opening his jaws]
Charlie Brown: [One second later, the tree stops biting as it feels a bite taken out of it]
Charlie Brown: [There is a hole in the tree in the shape of Charlie Brown's teeth] Didn't think I'd do it, did ya?

A collage of good Peanuts stuff, direct from the strip!
1 August 2006 | by (USA) – See all my reviews

How can I rate it at anything other then 10 stars?

It's the adventures of the gang, plus a whole lot more! I had not seen this in so many years I can just make out two small segments, that aren't that clear now, twenty six years later.

But I recall, how the quality in this is good stuff!! This gang of characters is definitely not gonna let the kids down. It won't let the adults who remember 'childhood', watching Charlie Brown do his thing 'down' either. With Snoopy flying, that means that, Charles daughter, was becoming a pilot. Obviously his children were close to his heart, that's what made his life's work that much better, for all of us.

Yes this is yet another shining example of many that, Schulz had great quality in his work and loved telling stories through the eyes of the 'Lil Folks'. As for miss 'Othmar' well, it was always just "Waa Waa Waaa Wa." (****)
