• Although dubbed into English in 1991, it didn't play on American TV until 1996; by which time many of the jokes had gone out-of-date. At least six episodes were never shown on American TV either.

• The male Pizza Cats never remove their helmets, however Polly Ester does in at least two episodes, revealing she has short, red hair and a similar set of ears under her helmet.
  
  
• According to fan sites, the original Japanese script was lost, and a completely new script had to be written.
