'Missing: Reward' might not be a true crime TV show you're familiar with. It didn't reach the same levels of 'Unsolved Mysteries' or 'America's Most Wanted', but it had the same formula albeit with minuet differences. They all came out around the same time period.

Hosted by actor Stacy Keach, the show took it's tone & identity from his distinct voice & presence. The cases at their best involved missing persons or murders, but the show also touched on valuable missing or wanted items. A disclaimer before an episode would state upfront that the reward money being offered was by private individuals and not the actual show itself.

Coming at a time when this genre was becoming popular, 'Missing' didn't achieve nearly the same level as it's peers. I admit I only saw a handful of episodes in its original run and it's hard to track down and watch now. Featuring some unique cases that other true crime shows didn't touch on was mildly overshadowed by a focus on reward money. There was also a 1-900 number the show utilized for viewers to call in which was distasteful & highly suspect.
