Strange and interesting little film
9 December 2008 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

La Cravate is an interesting tale of a lady who sells/exchanges human heads for a living and a man who exchanges his head for the sake of a woman and finds that he likes his original head best. More or less.

This is the first of Alejandro Jodorowsky's films that I have seen, though I have heard of many of them. In fact, I just bought a boxed set of his films, so I'll be watching more soon. So I had few preconceptions of what his films would be like when watching this one.

I thought it was an interesting short, and the idea of using mime to tell the story really seemed to work for this one. It had a surreal feel to it and some interesting camera work. Its short length was appropriate for the film.

Quite interesting, I quite enjoyed this one.
