A summary on the search for the meaning of life
sqrmax from San Diego, USA
28 March 2001
In this series, James Burke explores what is reality for us. He shows
many of the things we believe to be true are not, or that they don't even
exist. He demonstrates how it can be scientifically proven that you
your perception of the world around you in a way that you cannot even
recognize within yourself.
In this scenario, what remains real is your sense of being yourself. And
is that constructed is what the series ends with. It is also shown that
know so little about it...
The series has a style that is very similar to that of the first
series. Very enjoyable, and a strong recommendation.
It is unfortunate, but I have not been able to locate a copy of this
other than some recordings from TV. The dubbers in Venezuela, Estudios
were unable to provide a reference to me. I really do not know why this
piece is nearly impossible to find anywhere.
