Though norwegian film-industry has always been lagging behind their Scandinavian neighbouring countries, it is as old as film itself and this first fiction-film ever produced in Norway, directed by Hugo Hermansen somewhere between 1906 and 1908 (the year itself is unknown), is unfortunately lost forever.
