Trivia

In a handful of European dubs, like the German, French or Hungarian, Vegeta was originally given a high-pitched, squeaky voice, possibly to further differentiate him from his deep-voiced, brutish partner Nappa and make him come off as "the smaller one" of the two. When Vegeta was revealed to be a serious character and became part of the main cast later on, some of the dubs changed his voice to be deeper and less comical. See more »

Goofs

In the English dub, it is said that Planet Vegeta was destroyed three years ago, but it is later changed to twenty years ago (the latter is accurate to the Japanese original.) Interestingly, even when they did the "uncut dubbed" version on Cartoon Network, in the early Raditz episodes they still used the inaccurate "three years" quote. See more »

Crazy Credits

While other DBZ movies just used whatever opening went with the show at the time the movie was release, Tree of Might features a specially-made opening, featuring the Z-Fighters gathering the Dragon Balls to restore the destroyed forest. See more »

Best Anime Ever
4 October 2004 | by (Adelaide, Australia) – See all my reviews

If you think DBZ is a bad anime you're sadly mistaken. It has everything a good anime needs: action, comedy, powerful evil guys and so on. A lot of you probably think that the Simpsons is a good anime. Its not cause its limited to what it can do. The things I love are: The bad guys and how they tourment the good guys (Super Buu with Gohan, The Androids with the Z fighters and so on). The themes are also cool. The Super Saiyan themes add that little extra to show the mood that the fighters are in when they power up.

My favorite character is Vegeta and Piccolo. They add a certain comic relief to the show especially when Kakarot does something idiotic.
