Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that, instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, you use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

Talk about conception -- who fathered a particular character in the film.

Two women wearing clingy tops paw and fawn over the pod racer Sebulba.

Violence & Gore

The violence is constant, but mostly very mild.

A ship explodes with two pilots inside when it is shot at by laser guns.

A sea monster is violently torn in half by a larger sea monster. Later another sea creature bites a gar-like creature's tail.

Jabba the Hutt bites a small creature's head off and spits it on a gong. Blood spatters.

Some people are killed in a race sequence. We see them screaming before they crash. Intense.

People killed in air/ground combat, no blood is evident. Several bodies are shown lying dead on the ground while pilots are shown exploding in their space pods the moment their ship is hit by laser fire.

Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan battle Darth Maul in a prolonged and intense light saber duel. There is also punches and kicks at each other from both sides.

Qui-Gon is stabbed in the stomach. He gasps in pain and falls to the ground, and you can briefly see a hole through his back.

Obi-Wan slices Darth Maul in two, and you can clearly see both halves of him when he falls down a narrow shaft. Blood powder sprays out but the actual cut isn't shown. Fairly Graphic

A space station explodes, killing hundreds of life forms on the ship

Many robots are sliced in half, dismembered, stabbed, decapitated, and slashed.

Very mild scatological references (in both cases, the actual words are spoken in an alien dialect, but the inflection is obvious).

Darth Maul's bizarre appearance may be considered frightening for some.

Many racers are killed in the pod race sequence, not bloody or graphic, but it is very intense.

The scene where Qui-Gon Jinn is killed is very shocking and intense. Along with the skewering of Darth Maul being split in half by Obi-Wan's light saber.

The battle near the end of the film is intense, but with minimal to no blood or gore at all. Only several dead bodies are visible

Darth Sidious's appearance and his voice may frighten young children.

A large space station explodes killing many people inside. Non graphic.

The lightsaber duel between Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, and Darth Maul is quite menacing and rather intense.
