When Deputy Henry calls Deputy Gerard from Chicago, he reports Marie purchased a ticket to NYC. Garard instructs Henry to get on the plan with her and that agents will meet him at JFK. Henry never told Gerard which airport.
During the interrogation scene, the Detective places his glasses on the table. Wesley Snipes falls onto these glasses and the lenses clearly break when he is removing the arm. They are returned to the detective. Later in bed, he takes them from the case and notices the arm is missing, however he puts them on to continue reading - apparently not noticing that the lenses are no longer in the frame.
In the beginning of the movie, they show the U.S. Marshals storming an apartment. While getting ready to cuff one of the gang members, Biggs is shown ejecting a magazine to reload. As no shots were fired by him, there would be no reason to do this.
The Chevrolet Caprice used in the film is first shown without the two police style spot lights on it while driving through New York City, then when it arrives at the cemetery, the spotlights are on the car.
When Sam watches Agent Barrows drive in the funeral procession coming into the cemetery there are dents clearly visible on the drivers side door of Barrows' car. A few second later when the scene switches to Barrows parking his car and getting out the dents are gone. Clearly a different car was used for the two scenes.
In the scene where Sam Gerard is walking over to the apartment building wearing the bird costume, he kicks off the bird shoes, and the left shoe is clearly about to land on the hood of the black car. However, in the next shot, both shoes have landed in the street.
After the cemetery chase (and Newman's death) both Cosmo's arms are fine, but at the U.S. Marshals office, his right arm is in a sling. This makes no sense, as he dodged out of the way in time as Sheridan crashes the Lincoln into the GMC.
When Sam's team meets him at the corner store after the plane crash, Newman sets down the bags and he walks toward the store empty handed. Then when it cuts to the interior of the store, he enters carrying the bags.
When Royce is covering Sheridan's mouth as he lies in bed, you can see the scalpel blade has a safety cover on it. As the scene progresses, there is no time for Royce to remove the cover yet it disappears in time for him to cut Sheridan's hand free.
When Sheridan and Marie are trying to escape the cemetery in the black Lincoln, they end up sideswiping a blue Oldsmobile and damaging the drivers side front fender as well as breaking out the side marker light. Seconds later, just before Sheridan slams the Lincoln into the Suburban, the damage is completely gone.
When Royce watches the Ambulance taking Newman to Hospital, the back shot shows the lower part of 'Y' suspenders [Braces] being white. In a later scene the lower portion is black matching the complete suspenders.
When Jones find a piece of plastic blister goes to the drugstore to find the match. Which is clear for the audience because we've previously seen the whole blister but Jones has just finds one portion and should not been that easy match for him.
At the beginning of the film when Sheridan is forced to lose control of his vehicle, a camera angle shows the truck coming toward the viewer. At the next shot if you look to the left of the screen you can see the birdcage style housing box attached to a pole.
When Samuel Gerard is pointing to places on the map of Illinois he is pointing nowhere near Golconda or Metropolis. Also when he points to the Alexander County line he actually points to the border of Williamson and Johnson Counties. Alexander County is 45 miles from Williamson County.
When Sheridan jumps off of the Loreli building which is supposed to be in Queens, NY he winds up on top of a Metro North commuter train which only operates in the boroughs of The Bronx & Manhattan. The Queens location of the Loreli Bldg is confirmed when Newman's body is delivered to Elmhurst Hospital which is in Queens, NY.
When Gerard and Newman commandeer the Cadillac to chase Chen, a shot of the street clearly shows a downtown Chicago street and street signs. The stoplights are also painted green. When the shot changes to Biggs' and Cooper's car, the street lights are painted yellow, just as they would be in New York.
Modern airline windows are made of Lexan and do not shatter when struck by objects. They are also smaller than the ones depicted in this film. Additionally, a bullet will pierce Lexan but will not take the wall with it.
Chen is a cultural attache at the Chinese Mission to the U.N. However, scenes and dialog all show him coming in and out of the Chinese Consulate in NY. They are actually two separate missions, and the plaque on the Consulate entry with a red tian-an-men image is certainly a fabrication. All Chinese diplomatic and consular missions use a standard brass name plaque with only text on it. The national emblem is also displayed at the entry but it is a round figure.
When the prisoner on the plane ask to use the toilet the guard says hold it and that they will be landing in 20 minutes, but in reality guards are not allowed to tell any prisoner the time frame of any transport especially when it is a federal prisoner transport.
When Special Agent Frank Barrows is being transported by ambulance to the hospital the technician attempts to shock Barrows' heart through his shirt. Shock paddles must be in direct contact with the skin for the system to work properly.
In the scene at the hospital, Royce fires his Glock at Gerard but it fires on an empty chamber, He then pulls the trigger several more time. The Glock is a striker fired pistol and hence, it will only release the firing pin a single time without racking the Slide. Another goof listed here is that the first pull of the trigger should have fired a round as Gerard only replaced that magazine with an empty. The assumption the a round was chambered is just that, an assumption.
After the plane crash, an Illinois State Police car can be seen in the background. The plane crashes 20 minutes (by air) outside of Memphis, and the border is about 200 miles from Memphis, so it's (barely) possible for the car to get there that fast.
The GMC Suburban the team uses changes from a C1500 2x4 to a K1500 4x4 multiple times during the movie in different scenes. The GMC should not be changing, it is the US Marshall's vehicle. Also, the rims are different on various scenes.
