This is far below the standard the first movie set. There are some cool POV shots used by the director but that's all really. A nice sex scene at the hotel is another high. The special effects are pretty lame compared to today's standards, average acting and an average storyline. Had the potential to be great but didn't live up to expectation. Stick with the original and best.

The first movie is much better

When I heard that he was getting on VCR I was very excited but when I saw him the excitement turned into sadness, my god what a terrible movie.

The openings scene was fine with Bruce Campbell but after that it's getting very bad. The script sucks, I mean there's absolutely nothing that's has got anything original. The actor's aren't the greatest actor that life in this world. The only thing that is different is the way he was directed. You see in this movie various shot's that you don't see that often in movies. This is also the only reason to watch this movie till the end without sleeping.

If I were you and you want to watch this movies and you didn't see it yet, a little bit of advice... don't.

This film was not even a good try. Fans of the original will be greatly disappointed. In fact, everyone will be disappointed. The effects were cheap and in most cases pointless. (The vampires appeared as bats mostly) And the director has some weird obsession with point-of-view shots. I give this film an "F"

FDTD 1 is as bad as it can get, despite of this, i decided to give the sequel a try, expecting the director and the script writer to somehow, improve in some way or another. But i was wrong, the story is s****y and cheesy and people with seasick do avoid this film.Cause every time in the action scene, the camera will shake furiously, making you feel nauseous, you can't see anything but vague image of someone smear with blood screaming, and this goes repeatedly for the entire film. This movie is an extremely rotten film, save your money and time for better ones.

I ONLY WATCHED A HALF HOUR AND TURNED THE SET OFF, THIS WAS /_THE_/ WORST MOVIE I HAVE EVER SEEN, and I have seen plan nine! Ok I would rather have my wisdom teeth removed than sit down and watch the whole thing again. The characters were so "Bargan Bin". The story line was just horrible and the special effects unbareable. If you EVER have the urge to rent this movie, please do yourself a favor and PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do not rent this movie, rent a nice movie like Meet the Feebles or some of the ernest movies (esp. ernest in Africa, Slam Dunk Ernest and Ernest in the Army becaus they look like they were made with 10 dollars, but they are GREAT FILMS compared to this), but for sake of sanity DO NOT RENT THIS MOVIE.

The title also could use some work.

What a disappointment

After the great 'From dusk till dawn', we get what may be a the horror fan's greatest disappointment this year. The cast (for want of a better word), sucks big time. The story is thin and more or less a rehash of the first and the special effects, well, not so special.

Don't waste your time, rent the first one again instead.....

Are you afraid of rubber bats?

I was absolutely terrified while I watched TEXAS BLOOD MONEY.

I was terrified that somebody killed the most talented cast member (Bruce Campbell) off in under 90 seconds.

I was terrified that nobody noticed the massive plot holes and continuity errors between the first and second films.

I was terrified that Scott Spiegel tried so hard to emulate Robert Rodriguez's style to the point of absurdity.

I was terrified that most of the action happened off-camera to try and hide the fact that there was no budget.

But most of all, I'm terrified of little, rubber, dollar-store toy bats were used for most of the 'horror' scenes. Oooh. The terror, the horror, the visible strings.

Don't even rent this if you're desperate.

I knew what type of movie this was when i rented it. Cheesey and full of violence. That's what I got. What bugs me the most about this movie is that two of the stars ( Bruce Campbell and tiffani-amber theissen) get killed in the first 30 seconds of the film. What a waste.

Man what a bad movie, first of all, this does not, i repeat DOES NOT deserve to have From Dusk Till Dawn before it. It had mostly nothing to do with the original. They showed the bad 'Titty Twister' 1 time! That's where all the action took place in the first, and this one has nothing there. Second, the story was very contrived. A group of friends, go to steal money from a bank or something. Who-hoo havent we seen that before? On the way there they get caught up in vampires, and most are turned into vampires. I have to say, the first is a classic, but this is a piece of crap. The only thing good in it, was having Brude Campbell and Tiffany Amber Thiessan in the opening sequence, which wasn't that big, but at least it was better the rest of the movie. Now to the acting, the only good performance is the lead character, and he really doesn't do that good of a job. The gore looked like rubber paint, it was plentiful, but seemed fake looking. There was also a gratuitous porn movie too, where the men watching it discuss the way they are having sex. By this time, I was already out of it, and really didn't notice it. The ending is especially stupid, and to a certain point looks like John Carpenter's 'Vampires'. Another thing I didn't like, was the fact that the vampires looked like something from the 'Island of Dr. Moreau' (or however you spell it). I know most of you are going to see it anyway, but I am telling you, you will be extremely disapointed, and want your money back. Heck, I told Blockbuster they needed to take this off the shelf because it was so bad. But if you want to see a SEQUEL, that has something to do with original. Wait until 'The Hangman's Daughter', which tells more about Salma Hayek's character. Early reviews say its pretty good. But as far as 'Texas Blood Money'? It's a pure waste of time. It should be retitled From Dusk Till I Puke 2: Texas Crap Money. 2 out of 10. (only cause the opening sequence was kinda cool) Rated for strong horror violence and gore, language, strong sexuality, and nudity.

From Dusk to CRAP!

I expected to see a movie emulating the original. Tarantino & Rodriguez producing, you can't go wrong. can you? This sequel was TERRIBLE! The plot wasn't too bad, the special effects were kinda lame (but this is straight to video so it didn't matter), but what I found the worst was the DIRECTING! Probably the second or third WorsT Directing I've ever seen! So many repetitive camera angles and shots that never worked. Mainly the vampire teeth shot digging into a persons neck. Pure stupidity if you asked me. And the director used that shot way too many times.

Not the worst movie I've ever seen, but it's pretty damn disappointing.
