A thriller that will leave your heart pounding - up there with the best of Hitchcock!
25 July 2009 | by See all my reviews

Finally a movie is made that stays true to its source material while still being entertaining and engaging to a casual film-goer. Stine's novel is expanded on as our protagonist realises that there is something very strange about her university professor. The high production values, including the amazing Oscar-Worthy score and the top-notch cinematography all help augment this fantastic thriller! My only complaint is about the all-star cast - with so many A-List actors appearing in it and several blink-and-you'll-miss-it cameos from the cream of the entertainment industry, it can tend to get a bit distracting as you spend so much time trying to spot the hidden cameo that you don't give the top-notch plot your full attention. Obviously a trick from the director to make viewers come back for more. Which I did, and after seeing this incredible movie five times, I still can say I am not sick of it! Truly the best thing R.L. Stine has ever done!
