Lindsay Lohan has been enmeshed in controversy for as long as I can remember. Her Playboy spread is no different: the photos showing a naked Lindsay Lohan, 25, posing à la Marilyn Monroe have been leaked online, much to the official consternation of the Playboy top brass. "Because of the interest & the Internet leak," Hugh Hefner tweeted, "we're releasing the Lindsay Lohan issue early." Hefner then added, "Lindsay Lohan was the top search name on the Internet yesterday. Her issue goes on sale late next week. Hot. Hot. Hot." (Hefner surely didn't sound too consternated in his tweets.) Lohan's nude photos, in fact, are quite good-looking. Those writing nasty comments about them are doing so because they're envious: either they wanted Lohan's face and body or the almost $1 million she earned for the shoot. Else, they're just envious of Lohan's fame/notoriety. Or all of the above. By the way, Lohan »

On this day, 110 years ago, Walt Disney was born. To honor the entertainment icon's birthday, Moviefone wants to know which Disney film you consider a favorite. (A tough choice to say the least.) After creating the company's first feature-length film, 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,' in 1937, Disney went on to make hundreds of family classics -- 'Cinderella,' 'The Parent Trap,' 'Mary Poppins,' 'Beauty and the Beast,' 'The Lion King,' just to name a few.

The world seems to be demanding the presence of Charisma Carpenter as she lands yet another guest starring gig, this time on The Lying Game. Carpenter just appeared as an angry witch in an episode of Supernatural a couple weeks ago. Her role in The Lying Game will be a little more down to earth (translation: not involving witchcraft or the paranormal), but at first glance it seems a little… convoluted.
According to TV Guide, Carpenter is playing the role of Rebecca “Annie” Sewell, who makes a return to town, naturally bringing up old memories of her time there. But it also brings up old secrets, the type that were supposed to stay buried. Alec Rybak (Adrian Pasdar) and Ted Mercer (Andy Buckley) are interested in keeping those secrets from getting out, which could create some trouble for Rebecca. Now I mentioned Rebecca’s »

Girls on Film is a weekly column that tackles anything and everything pertaining to women and cinema. It can be found here every Thursday night, and be sure to follow the Girls on Film Twitter Feed for additional femme-con. Another day, another new Lindsay Lohan drama… When Lohan first stepped into the spotlight, she was a charismatic bundle destined for great things. Her red hair, freckled cheeks, and bright blue eyes contrasted the usual Hollywood kid machine, and her talent set her even further apart. She handled the dual roles of The Parent Trap with ease and quickly became a Disney star. Her specialty – the remakes, whether it be classic Hayley Mills comedy, taking on a little Freaky Friday, or dealing with Herbie Fully Loaded. But just as she began to...

It wasn't all bad: Zac Efron (" Summerland ") celebrated his 24th birthday, pregnant Hilary Duff (" Lizzie McGuire ") prepared for her baby boy and Emma Watson (" Harry Potter" ) started classes at Oxford! By looking at all of them though, one thing's for sure: A lot can change in a few short years. Check out how some of your favorite child stars from the 90s and 2000s have changed! Read more »

Don't you miss the days of The Parent Trap? Mean Girls? Life-Size co-starring Tyra Banks? Remember that gem? Those were the days! The days when Lindsay Lohan had her sh*t together. Granted, she was a preteen and most preteens have their lives in order, but still...
Sadly, life's a bitch. Especially for Lindsay Lohan today who was handcuffed in court after a judge revoked her probation. Supposedly she missed too many community service appointments. There is $100,000 bail for Lindsay but obviously she is expected to be released. She is expected back in court on the second of November to figure out if she officially violated probation.
Okay, wait a second, if I was locked up and my bail was $100,000 I would be in the slammer for a Very, Very long time. Wouldn't you? Yea, that's what I thought! Damn you Tina Fey. Maybe if you're Mean Girls movie wasn't »

We know who should star in the next remake of The Parent Trap! Neither Ryan Gosling nor Ryan Gosling looks any the worse for wear on the cover of Esquire's September issue, which also includes a photo spread featuring two images of the actor in almost ever shot. Why the graphic trickery? For starters, it was Gosling's idea. Egomaniac, much? Hardly. "I think I was always bound to become two selves, if I wasn't already," the Crazy, Stupid, Love star told the mag. "Now there's this me, this public me, and I know that I have become two people. This is what I told the photographer before he took those photographs. Even my own name sounds like just someone I »
Dominic Cooper's double performance as Uday Hussein and his stand-in means that more dictator flicks are guaranteed
The funniest thing I ever read about Uday and Qusay Hussein was that the guy who betrayed their final hideout was also the host who'd catered to their every iron whim – and that he finally grassed them up because they were obnoxious, demanding, entitled little brats.
To the last, it would seem, judging by The Devil's Double, which offers us a factually supercharged account of the toxic and violent relationship between Uday, Saddam's psychotic elder son, and his press-ganged doppelganger Latif Yahia. They're both played by Dominic Cooper in a batty, star-making double performance that is far more fun than the movie haphazardly slung around it.
Uday's a handful, living out some Baathist-inflected fantasia on De Palma's Scarface, shooting off guns indoors, plucking schoolgirls off the streets and raping them, exercising Caligulan »

After having suffered through all the horrors of Hot Shot (I'm still not recovered from that, Btw), this week's episode was so much fun that I thought I must be dreaming.
Certainly some of our favorite characters were dreaming, and pretty steamy dreams too …
Eric Finds God(Ric)
Sookie is lying in bed, fast asleep, in that carefully-posed, neck-exposed, heaving-breast sort of way that only women about to be bitten by vampires in movies do.
Eric stands in the doorway watching her. Suddenly he's fang-blocked from behind, as a hand reaches over his shoulder. It's Godric! Mmmm, dreamy, emo-y, Godric.
Godric strokes Eric provocatively. But then Sookie has to go and ruin everything, as Godric decides to go stroke her leg instead. Booo!
Eric rushes over and tells him to lay off – he called dibs on the fairy. Godric responds (in subtitles) that they can drink together and walk in the sun. »

Plus, watch a brand-new ‘Ringer’ trailer, straight from Comic-Con!
Sarah Michelle Gellar is back in fighting form this fall on The CW, but she’s swapping her trademark stake for a packed pistol! Sarah gave HollywoodLife.com‘s sister site TVLine the scoop about her new show Ringer on July 21 at San Diego Comic-Con, reaffirming what we already knew — this show is going to be hot!
“I got a gun [on the show] and Buffy never got to shoot a gun,” she said. “But yesterday I had a skill saw, and that thing I did not like. I never want to use that thing again. Ever.”
Ringer tells the story of twin sisters Siobhan and Bridget — both played by our girl Smg — and while they do switch places from time to time, trust us, it’s nothing like The Parent Trap. Bridget is a fugitive, and when Siobhan suddenly goes missing, Bridget steals »

Taxidermy dungeons. The Parent Trap moments. Dove funerals. Actual funerals. All these and more have happened on Bachelor(ette) hometown dates, when the dysfunction of real families meets the unreality of reality television romance. What horrors await Ashley as she visits the homes of her final four?
Nothing even close, as it turns out! But we'll still have fun with it.

Having just this spring (rather awesomely) guest-starred on ABC’s Castle, Adrian Pasdar has now joined the cast of ABC Family’s The Lying Game, which stars As the World Turns alum Alexandra Chando as separated-at-birth twins Emma Becker and Sutton Mercer. Per TVGuide.com, Pasdar will recur on the dark, The Parent Trap-esque drama as the father of Sutton’s Bff. The Lying Game starts Monday, August 15.

I'm a sucker for a good movie trope (a nice, non-judgmental way of saying movie cliché), especially one I've never noticed before myself. That's is why I'm in love with this site called Doom Cakes. And just what is a "doom cake?" I will let the site's founder, Tom Blunt, explain (emphasis his):
"Cakes are rarely eaten and enjoyed in movies the way they are in real life. Instead they are nearly always demolished -- perhaps in anticipation of the audience's repressed desire to participate vicariously in wanton acts of decadence and destruction (probably hearkening back to the Death and the Maiden motif which originated in Renaissance art). There is a correlation between a cake's extravagance and the likelihood that it will be destroyed.
Alternately: the cake remains intact, but serves as a harbinger of chaos and human suffering -- the exact opposite of its intended effect. In such cases, »

The Lying Game — based on the books by Sara Shepard, who also authored Pretty Little Liars — introduces separated-at-birth twins Emma Becker and Sutton Mercer (both played by Alexandra Chando). It starts out like The Parent Trap: The sisters switch places so that Emma can experience the trappings of wealth while Sutton pursues the identity of their birth mother. But it gets much darker when Sutton doesn't show on the night the girls are supposed to reunite. Does Emma come clean or continue their deception?
