Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that, instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, you use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

4/10. Throughout the first half of the movie, a dating adult couple kiss about five or six times. In the second half, the man kisses the woman's breast. The couple then makes out.

Some sexual dialouge between teenagers, pretty mild.

8/10. A woman finds two teenage boys' corpses (one is bloody with two ice skates embedded in his face and the other has a knife in his back); a man grabs a kitchen knife and chases the woman; she beats him with a fireplace poker, sending him to the floor, and he grabs her ankle, nearly stabbing her, but hits the floor instead; she continues to beat him repeatedly with the poker and shatters a window; the man then grabs her and slits her throat with the knife (blood pours from the wound).

In a dream sequence, a teenage girl hides in a closet as a man violently breaks through the door; we also see a knife stabbed into the picture of a teenage boy.

A teenage girl finds a teenage boy's corpse with a bloody, slit throat in a dumbwaiter; a man appears behind her, brandishing a kitchen knife, and appears to stab her in the leg as she climbs into the dumbwaiter (we briefly see a bloody gash); she tries to crawl out of the dumbwaiter on the next floor, but the man cuts the dumbwaiter's rope, crushing and breaking her leg (we see her leg bloody and mangled); she crawls on the floor as the man enters the room, stands on her neck, and stabs her repeatedly in the back with the knife (we only see the knife coming up and down with blood on its blade).

A teenage boy and a teenage girl find a long trail of blood leading to another teenage girl's bloody corpse, which is hanging from a light fixture; a man appears and chases them outside; he grabs the girl by the neck and the boy punches him repeatedly in the face; the man knocks him down and stabs him in the leg with a kitchen knife (blood is shown on the knife); the girl bashes the man over the head with a rock, knocking him down and they run to a locked door behind a gate; the man reaches through the gate and slashes at them repeatedly with the knife (he is unable to make contact with them); a woman unlocks the door and the boy and girl are taken to safety.

A man shoots another man in the head (blood pools under his head and onto a woman's hand, which later rubs off on a door; we later learn that the bullet merely grazed his head and he survived); a third man appears and stabs the first man in the back with a kitchen knife (blood pours from his mouth); the man with the knife stabs through a door, breaking it down, and the woman appears behind him, bashing him over the head with a fire extinguisher and knocking him down.

A woman violently breaks a security system with a rock and kicks through a glass case holding a fire axe; she enters a school as a man lowers himself from the ceiling behind her; she swings the fire axe at him, embedding it in his shoulder, and he slashes her shoulder with a kitchen knife (we see her with a bloody gash on her shoulder, as well as blood on her neck and on the knife, and also see a little blood on the axe when he pulls it out of his shoulder); he follows her into a cafeteria and begins overturning several tables, searching for her; she crawls away and stabs him in the stomach with a flagpole; she runs to a kitchen and throws several knives at him, one of which stabs into a wall; he attempts to stab her, but she holds up a drawer to defend herself, which he uses to hit her over the head; he chases her out of the room and she appears in a hallway, stabbing him repeatedly with a knife; he falls over a balcony and lands on a table, apparently dead (we see the knife in his chest surrounded by blood); the woman raises another knife to stab him again, but another man with a bloody head wound manages to restrain her.

A woman grabs a fire axe and holds several people at gunpoint; she gets in a van with a supposedly dead man and drives down a road; the man revives, climbing out of a bodybag, and tries to attack her; she slams the brakes on the van and sends him flying through the windshield onto the road; as he tries to stand up, she drives into him and the van rolls down a hill; the woman is thrown from the van and the man becomes pinned between the van and a tree; the woman (she has a bloody head wound) limps toward the man and unexpectedly decapitates him with the fire axe (we see his head rolling on the ground; no blood is evident).

6/10 At least 13 F-words, some sexual references, 24 scatological terms, 4 anatomical terms (1 mild), 3 mild obscenities, 1 religious profanity, 13 religious exclamations.

6/10. A woman smokes a cigarette.

A woman jugs down two glasses of wine in a restaurant.

A woman drinks vodka in two scenes.

7/10. The entire film is quite suspenseful and frightening. This movie contains a very creepy atmosphere. The most intense scene shows a teenage girl with a wounded leg trying to escape Michael by crawling backwards, but is then repeatedly stabbed in the back. Only the bloody knife is shown coming up and down. The same girl is then seen hung from the ceiling.

The film's final scene when Laurie decapitates Michael is sudden and could make people jump.

The film's overall violence, frightening themes, alcohol consumption, etc. turn out to be the rating of 31/50.
