Sarah tells John his lifestyle's going to result in him still living with his mother for another 20 years and running a hotel in the middle of nowhere. Janet Leigh, who played Marion Crane in Psycho, drives the same Ford she did in Psycho and a snippet from Bernard Herrman's Psycho score can be heard as she talks to Laurie by her car.
