According to Wesley Snipes and Stephen Dorff on the commentary track, there was a slight clash between Snipes and Dorff while filming the hostage scene where Blade and Frost first meet in person. It was Dorff's first day, and while he was trying to establish Frost's motivation, approach, etc. Snipes became impatient and tried to counsel Dorff. Dorff became incredibly frustrated and said he felt overwhelmed since David Fincher and other notable filmmakers visited during filming and added further tension to the frantic on-set nature, forcing Snipes to assert his producer authority and make decisions. Snipes would tell Dorff that it was essential to trust in him, not only as the starring lead but also as producer. Snipes goes on in the commentary to say: "For a while...there wasn't that trust." About 40 minutes into the film there is a shot (speeded up) of the Moon rising. However as it rises it moves from right to left when it should be the other way round. Without using a computerised telescope to line up a camera to point exactly where the Moon will rise, the film-makers filmed the Moon setting and then reversed the footage. What they should have was to also flip the scene. See more »

Exhilarating and Exciting Action/Thriller Masterpiece!
Blade is a fantastic action/thriller that keeps you captured for the whole duration and Wesley Snipes delivers what I would say to be his best performance yet.
This film has everything that you would ask for in an action/thriller, it has plenty of blood, guts and gore, a twisted, disturbed bad buy, moments of humour but most importantly a very good story line with plenty of twists.
Their is constant action throughout the film with breathtaking stunts and effects, Wesley Snipes fighting movement is fantastic.
This film is in my opinion a must see, Wesley Snipes cool, solid appearance makes this film and I can't wait for the sequel 'BLADE 2' being released next year.
