Barney and his friends visit a carnival midway which is just being set up, and talk to employees. The general public isn't there yet. Suddenly there's a rainstorm which forces the group to take shelter in a tent. When the storm ends, they go back outside to find a midway packed with people...all of whom must have arrived during the storm, and all of whom are bone dry (and standing in bright sunlight). Unlike the TV show, which is quite good for kids 2-4, this film is inappropriate for just about anybody. Very young children will be lost in the plot. And I don't really want to subject my child to slapstick humor (e.g. the sullen boy accidentally stepping on a cow pie).
