The host of NBC’s upcoming jungle romance reality show Love in the Wild says his show is more realistic than ABC’s The Bachelor. Talking to reporters at NBC’s summer press junket in Pasadena, Calif., Aussie host Darren McMullen says ABC’s veteran hit “paints a very fluffy, romantic picture of relationships, but it’s not real.” “Life in a relationship isn’t all limos and champagne dinners,” he says. ” is putting people in stressful situations and seeing if they can work together as a team. ABC Unveils Summer 2011 Schedule

ABC has announced the original programming it will be featuring during the summer of 2011. If you're a fan of reality TV, you're in luck, because the alphabet has new episodes of Wipeout, Bachelor Pad, and The Bachelorette coming down the pipeline, as well as a new show about karaoke, two Amazing Race-ish challenge shows, a new Extreme Makeover spinoff, and a game show built around people exiting a game show. Joining the mostly unscripted line-up, which can be found on Tuesdays and Thursdays, will be the second season of Rookie Blue and military hospital drama The Hot Zone.

There is no word yet on what reruns ABC will be airing or what canceled shows they'll be burning off, but until then, you can check out the press release below that gives detailed descriptions of each show as well as premiere dates/times.

Call off the search dogs. Lower our security threat level back down to chartreuse. Our long national nightmare of not knowing the full Top 24 on "American Idol X" finally ended Thursday night (February 24), as Seacrest & Co. spent 14 hours reading 19 names. (Apparently "Idol" was just getting us in the mood for Sunday night's Oscar telecast.)

When the dust finally settled and the also-rans were told to mind the gap as they boarded the "Idol" Obscurity Train (Erin Kelly, Tiwan Strong, Brittany Mazur and Jimmie Allen, meet your conductors Vanessa Wolfe, Erskine Walcott and Hadas), "Idol" fans were left with a promising batch of 24 hungry young singers.
