The victim is shown laying on the floor, blood mixing with water on the floor from his head and pelvic region.

In the prison, a prisoner makes a very sexual joke.

Numerous couples kissing and making out through the movie.

Violence & Gore

A teen boy is shot in the chest three times, with blood splattering on the wall behind him as he drops down. Blood is sprayed on part of the shooter's and victim's face as well as around the room afterwards.

An armed man is shot at 5 times around the chest, he dies. A bullet wound is seen.

A man is raped from behind in prison. His head is then slammed into the wall, and he drops to the floor.

A group of Black teens kick a Caucasian teen twice in the chest before they are stopped. A bit of blood on the victim's mouth.

Derek hits and kicks a man once for trying to corrupt Danny. A bit of blood is on his nose.

Derek angrily shoves a mouthful of food in his sister's mouth to keep her from talking.

204 uses of 'f**k', 56 of 's**t', 28 of 'nig*er', 5 of 'bi**h', 4 of 'as**ole' and 'spic', 3 of 'kike' and 'monkey', 2 of 'cracker' and 1 of 'spooks', 'SOB', and 'niglet'. Most of the profanity is in a serious context.

The workprint version has more racist language in it.

Some smoking, including teenager.

A man smokes marijuana but is told to stop by a white supremacist based on "racial beliefs".

There is a party scene with beer and some drunkenness among people.

Marijuana (trafficking) is briefly discussed in a prison.

See: Violence and Gore

The incidences of violence, intensity and fright are almost too numerous to chronicle.

This movie in general is intense, emotional and graphically violent. With racial tension at its core and turned up to 11 on a scale of 1-10, no particular racial group is left out of the hate exercised in this movie although special emphasis and attention is placed on the hate between the neo-Nazi, skinhead, white supremacist movement and the African Americans.

3 men with weapons break into a truck (drivers window) in a driveway in the middle of the night. The "homeowner" responds with his own firearm. This in and of itself is controversial in some states. This setting is: (California) Can you use lethal force to protect your possessions or yourself and others ? Can you chase someone and shoot them ? .

The curb stomping scene is incredibly disturbing.

There is a rape scene in a mens prison. Some viewers may be uncomfortable with the instances of racist dialogue, even though it is not exactly condoned in context. In the family shown in this movie there is great disdain between the Derek and the Jewish man seeing his Mom.

Overall, the main theme of the film is very dark and disturbing.
