8/10 - One sex scene, a rape scene and brief nudity

The film opens with a man and a woman have sex in bed for about 11 seconds (the workprint version is a little bit longer). There is momentary female nudity as well as moaning sounds. Shot in black and white so it's difficult to make out some images.

Full-frontal male nudity of several prisoners in a shower room. Also shot in black and white so it is hard to see.

A rape scene in prison where a group of men pin another man to the wall in a shower room try to spread his legs. A man's face is shown in closeup as he approaches victim from behind and makes thrusting movements and sounds. No Nudity. The victim is shown laying on the floor, blood mixing with water on the floor from his head and pelvic region.

In the prison, a prisoner makes a very sexual joke.

A man with a camcorder records a girl's legs.

9/10 - Brutal and graphic violence, although not frequent and not very explicit, is still extremely disturbing to watch

An armed man is shot in an unknown area. His mouth is then placed on a curb and the back of head is stomped on, but the camera cuts away as soon as his foot touches the victims head. This is extremely disturbing and I can guarantee that it will disturb every single viewer In the same scene an armed man is shot at 5 times around the chest, he dies. A bullet wound is seen in black and white colors.

A gang of white supremacists raid a grocery store that employs minorities, hitting and kicking various individuals multiple times onscreen. A woman is laid out at her register and held down while salsa, applesauce, milk and various sauces are poured over her face. This isn't very violent, but it is intense

A man is raped from behind in prison. His head is then slammed into the wall, and he drops to the floor.

A group of Black teens kick a Caucasian teen twice in the chest before they are stopped. A bit of blood on the victim's mouth.

Derek hits and kicks a man once for trying to corrupt Danny.

Derek angrily shoves a mouthful of food in his sister's mouth to keep her from talking.

In the final scene of the movie a character is shot in the chest three times, with blood splattering on the wall behind him as he drops down. Blood is sprayed on part of the shooter's and victim's face as well as around the room afterwards. [b]This is the most graphic scene in the entire movie and is extremely upsetting; this scene is so upsetting it will negatively affect all viewers no matter how mature they might be.

204 uses of 'f**k', 56 of 's**t', 28 of 'nig*er', 5 of 'bi**h', 4 of 'as**ole' and 'spic', 3 of 'kike' and 'monkey', 2 of 'cracker' and 1 of 'spooks', 'SOB', 'peckerwood', 'ass', and 'niglet'. All of the profanity is in a serious context.

The workprint version has more racist language in it.

Some smoking, including teenager.

A man smokes marijuana but is told to stop by a white supremacist based on "racial beliefs".

There is a party scene with beer and some drunkenness among people.

Marijuana (trafficking) is briefly discussed in a prison.

10/10 - This movie in general is intense, emotional and graphically violent.

Everything listed in the Violence and Gore section are disturbing and graphic.

Extremely racist dialogue is very offensive.

The incidences of violence, intensity and fright are almost too numerous to chronicle.

No racial group is left out of the hate exercised in this movie.

In the family shown in this movie there is great disdain between the Derek and the Jewish man seeing his Mom.

Overall, the main theme of the film is very dark and disturbing. Even though this movie is very upsetting it's still a film worth watching as it effectively tackles themes of racism. At the very least though, this should not be viewed by anyone under 17 years old. The scene where the "curb biting" takes place is so disturbing that no one will ever forget this.

Total: 44/50
