Fear The Walking Dead season 3 set report

25 May 2017 4:15 AM, PDT | Den of Geek | See recent Den of Geek news »

Duncan Bowles May 26, 2017

Den Of Geek went to Mexico to spy on the filming of Fear The Walking Dead season 3 - here's what we saw...

Standing in the middle of a remote Mexican valley in Tijuana, only accessible by an ‘upgraded’ dirt track that threatened to dislodge both the production vans' wheels and maybe a few spines, I suddenly felt utterly vindicated from any time during an interview when I’d asked about location enhancing an actors’ performance. With rolling hills, quite literally as far as the eye could see, it was impossible not to be overwhelmed by the majestic beauty of the dusty, yet strangely fertile landscape, and that was before even setting eyes on the incredible work that production designer Bernardo Trujillo and his crew had integrated into a new setting for Fear The Walking Dead simply called ‘The Ranch’.

Top 10 Movies Filmed in Thailand

23 May 2017 10:10 PM, PDT | The Hollywood News | See recent The Hollywood News news »

Over the years there have been a great number of movies that have been filmed in Thailand, some of those films were supposed to be filmed there whilst others were filmed there as a stand in for places such as Cambodia and Vietnam.

One of the main benefits of using Thailand is that the production costs can be kept very low if the movie requires things such as glorious beaches, jungles or even elephants! Plus, with an army of experienced film crew members residing in Thailand production staffing costs can also be kept low too by hiring local yet skilled personnel.

There are of course plenty of benefits for Thailand as a whole when any major films are filmed there, as it helps the tourist industry no end, with many people wishing to visit many of the places a film was filmed at.

With that in mind we are now »

Pierce Brosnan Moves From Spy to Detective in Psychological Thriller ‘Spinning Man’

17 May 2017 1:15 PM, PDT | Variety - Film News | See recent Variety - Film News news »

“I would say it’s Hitchcockian.”

That’s how Pierce Brosnan describes his latest film, “Spinning Man,” a dark psychological mystery written by Matthew Aldrich and directed by Simon Kaijser. Film Bridge is bringing the film to Cannes.

“In Simon’s hands, it has a spellbinding, bleak menace to it,” says Brosnan.

Based on a novel by George Harrar, “Spinning Man” stars Guy Pearce as a happily married professor whose life unravels when he’s implicated in the murder of one of his students. Minnie Driver co-stars as his wife, who begins to doubt his innocence.

“This is such a character study,” says Brosnan. “Especially in its depiction of the disintegration of a marriage.”

Brosnan plays Malloy, a tenacious Irish police detective in charge of the murder investigation.

“Malloy is a seasoned detective,” says Brosnan. “He’s a weary man who looks for proof, slowly and methodically. Yet he’s also a man with compassion, »

The 50 Greatest Car Chases in Film: Part 1

12 April 2017 8:21 AM, PDT | Cinelinx | See recent Cinelinx news »

The Fast and Furious movies aren't the only ones with great car chases. Join us as we take a look at the 50 best car chase scenes in film. This week, we’re looking at #50 through 26.

Like peanut butter and jelly, car chases and movies are two things that just go together perfectly. A chase is inherently interesting to watch - someone is trying their best to get away by any means possible, while the other party is trying to stop them from doing so. The danger involved, the threat of violence, and even the thrill of the hunt are all part of why we often can’t look away. A car chase is the next level of chase. They are fast - an embodiment of man and machine together. They are also dangerous - the stakes are incredibly high, and not just for the people involved in the chase.

Daniel Craig Reportedly Back As Bond

5 April 2017 12:09 AM, PDT | LRMonline.com | See recent LRM Online news »

The London Evening Standard is reporting that producers for Eon Productions have finally convinced Daniel Craig to take on the mantle of James Bond one more time. Apparently, Daniel Craig has been encouraged to talk with Barbara Broccoli after the success of his off-Broadway play Othello, which Barbara Broccoli helped produce. Daniel Craig had previously stated that he would rather "Slash his wrists" than work on another Bond movie again. Lrm has previously reported that Neal Purvis and Robert Wade have been working on the script for Bond 25.

If this turns out to be true, it is definitely welcome news. Daniel Craig has brought a gravitas to the Bond character that had only been scratched at with the previous actors taking on the role. James Bond, as presented in the original Ian Fleming novels, closely resembles the Bond that Daniel Craig has put on screen. With his amazing performance in Casino Royale, »

From Angelina Jolie to Daisy Ridley, Here’s the Top 14 Female Action Stars Working Today

4 April 2017 4:12 PM, PDT | Thompson on Hollywood | See recent Thompson on Hollywood news »

Way back in 1979, Ridley Scott’s “Alien” brought us our first genuine female action hero in Sigourney Weaver’s Ripley. Despite the three sequels that followed, Ripley proved to be something of an outlier. Until fairly recently, a woman could kill someone in a movie only if she faced brutal punishment afterward, as in Scott’s “Thelma and Louise,” or in the inevitable fates of Bond girls: They could dole out lethal action, but rarely survived.

Today, ass-kicking women are no longer an anomaly or subject to automatic retribution. This weekend, we watched Scarlett Johansson lay waste to her enemies (although not the box office) in “Ghost in the Shell,” following a path blazed by the likes of Linda Hamilton (“Terminator 2: Judgment Day”), Uma Thurman (“Kill Bill”), and Michelle Yeoh (“Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon”). These roles may strike a blow for equality and diversity, but what these women — and »

Michelle Yeoh has joined Constance Wu in an adaptation of the book “Crazy Rich Asians,” sources tell Variety.

Color Force’s Nina Jacobson and partner Brad Simpson came on board the movie project in 2013 when Kevin Kwan’s book of the same name was still in the manuscript stage. Jon M. Chu is directing the adaptation from a screenplay written by Peter Chiarelli and Adele Lim.
