  • Jack saves Rose as she almost falls off the ship, both tumbling down onto the deck floor. When a group of people finds Jack on top of Rose, they mistakenly believe Jack to have tried to take advantage of her.
  • For a PG-13 movie this movie is very graphic. There's lots of nudity such as bare breasts and rear female nudity. There is even a sex scene in a car with kissing and rubbing.

Violence & Gore

  • A man punches another man in the stomach.

  • Just after the scene in which Rose attempts to commit suicide, an officer arrives to see Jack on top of Rose with his boots and jacket removed. The officer thinks Jack was raping her, but he was not.
  • Rose is briefly struck by Cal. Violence and intense peril are concentrated toward the end of the movie, especially as the ship begins to sink: Mass chaos leads to fistfights, pushing, gun violence, even suicide. People plunge to their death in icy waters, some killed by falling debris from the ship. Almost everyone left in the water drowns or freezes to death. Close-ups of passengers who stay on the ship, preferring to await the inevitable in their rooms or lounges.
  • In the aftermath of the ship's sinking, a deceased passenger is seen briefly holding a dead baby in the water.
  • A man shoots himself in the head. No gore or blood is shown.
  • The film tells the true story of the Titanic sinking with a fictional love story intertwined. Much peril and disaster violence. People drown and freeze to death, fall off of decks, and dishes and furniture go all over the place. A man is briefly shown with blood on his face.
  • A man shoots at another man various times, but he does not get hit.
  • An officer accidentally shoots a person dead. We see blood on his life jacket and on the deck floor. The officer then commits suicide by shooting himself on the head out of guilt. (no blood, but it's an intense scene).

  • Jack and a lot of characters smoke cigarettes
  • A guy takes his clothes off and starts to dance while smoking.
  • People are shown drinking and smoking throughout the film.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The final sinking sequence is quite tense, as are the moments afterwards where survivors find themselves in freezing cold water. The horrific deaths of disaster victims are shown in vivid detail, which will disturb many viewers.
  • Jack finds himself handcuffed to a pipe in a room filling with water. Rose then tries to find help and must wade through chin deep water to do so.
  • Rose and Jack travel back through the deep water and rush to unlock a gate as the water quickly rises around them. A man with keys to the gate accidentally drops them, then abandoning Rose and Jack.
  • People (including women and children) are cruelly kept from entering the gates in the third class deck as the ship starts to sink. They become rowdy and disorderly as the officers keep them where they push and shove each other, after only women and children are ordered to enter.
  • A main character tries to commit suicide by jumping off from the ship at nighttime. She is warned that the water would be really cold and that alone would kill her. She accidentally falls off whilst climbing on the railing and screams desperately for help.
  • After seeing his fiancée passionately embracing another man in the grand staircase, a character snatches a gun in madness, and chases the lovers down into the sinking ship, shooting at them multiple times. This scene is more suspenseful and exciting than downright distressing. The character's behavior is further contemptible, as he pretends to be a child's father to secure a place on a lifeboat that could have been saved for a woman or child.
  • We see an old couple in bed, holding each other, whilst "Nearer My God To Thee" is playing. Water is shown emerging in their room. Right in the next scene, where the somber music is still playing, we see a mother reading her children a story inside a third class cabin. To note, these two scenes occur during the sinking. We are reminded that these two families will obviously not survive.
  • The beginning of the movie has real footage of the Titanic in its watery grave. You see items that belonged to the passengers. It is quite eerie and a little spooky.
  • This movie contains many sad and upsetting scenes when the ship is going down, like when a man is seen saying "Goodbye" to his kids, who are in a lifeboat with their mother.
  • The second half of the film becomes one, long suspense scene as the ship begins to take on water and sink as the passengers try to make their way up through the many levels and get to the upper deck.
  • The sinking Titanic starts to break in half because of the weight of the stern. The ship plummets into the sea with a mighty splash, causing some of the passengers to fall off the ship.
  • A character slaps his fiancée. Said character also yells at his fiancée, overturning a table and breaking items in a fit of rage.
  • After the Titanic hits the iceberg, it begins to sink, and there are many frightening sequences that follow. There is an element of sustained peril related to icebergs and dangerously cold water (28 degrees F). As the ship loses electricity, many passengers scream in terror as the darkness envelops them.
  • This film overall, isn't really that scary, however some scenes are very intense and depressing.
  • Third class people are treated mercilessly and left below while the ship is starting to sink until Jack and his friends break down the gate obstructing their entry with a bench.
  • Mutiple people are crushed when Titanic splits in half.
  • People fall through the crack between the bow and stern as it splits in half.
  • Mutiple people jump off and die.
  • Rose attempts to commit suicide by jumping off the ship, but she is stopped from doing so.
  • The second half may be emotional for some viewers, where characters are seen getting parted from their families as they're put in boats, including the main characters.
