You know how it is. You’re 15 years old, you buy Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge by My Chemical Romance for £8.00 in HMV and it becomes one of your favourite albums of all time, making itself a crucial part of your formative years. You miss the tour that promotes the album because of Gcse’s (thanks mum), and you end up waiting until Leeds Festival 2011 before you see them live. By then they only play two songs of that album, because it’s 8 years old and (some) people have moved on.
It’s more often than not the case with all-conquering musical juggernauts, simply because they’ve matured as people and musicians, and they want to play the stuff they’ve just written. But sometimes you end up losing an incredible album track, or debut single, for the sake of a newer album track that sucks. Unless you wait »
