When the runners start off the line for the Olympic 5,000 meter race, one runner obviously moves out of the way of the camera taking the shot. The runner veers to the left at the last second when he would have gone to the right.
During the running of the 10,000 meter race at the 1972 Munich Olympics, it shows the Star of David as the decimal point in the time on the television. The Star of David was not used until after the Israeli hostage crisis, and the race took place before the crisis.
On the wall, inside Coach Bill Bowerman's Garage, is a late 1970s-1980s Chevrolet Hubcap. This is too new for the time period of the film. The 10-speed bikes hanging also look about 5-10 years too new.
