Plot Summary

  • Realising a dishonest deal has been found out a diamond merchant commits suicide, leaving the gems in question for his wife. Knowing the business from the time before drink largely took over her life, she decides to sober up and sell them herself. Though they attract much interest, no-one legitimate will touch them. As she tries to get her present life straight the lure of the stones means she may have to confront the past as well.
