An Exciting Teen Drama!
famousgir18 January 2002
On The Edge Of Innocence is an exciting teen drama TV Movie. It's definitely different to your usual 'teen movies' out there. The movie is about two teenagers, Zoe and Jake who both get sent to a psychiatric hospital. They didn't know each-other before, but once they meet and get to know each-other, they eventually fall in love. The only thing is they are not allowed to be together, so together with three other patients at the hospital, they run away from the hospital, on to a 'road trip'. On The Edge Of Innocence features a good cast, including James Marsden (He looks a little different here.) and Kellie Martin who all give good performances here. This is a good movie and I recommend it.

excellent Kellie Martin movie
Mattswife9730 June 2006
This is a movie about a teenager (Kellie Martin) who suffers from manic depression and doesn't trust anybody but herself while she takes lithium. She winds up in the nutfarm after almost dying on the ferris wheel. While at the nutfarm she meets a guy who has problems with anger and his parents. They fall in love and are forced not to see each other. When they can't handle that they break out of the nutfarm taking the doctor as a hostage. They steal his car and have a joyride. They decide to have some fun and explore the world while they have their freedom. They eventually realize they have to deal with their illness and their crimes. A great flick not to be missed. 10 stars out of 10. Kellie Martin, as usual is a wonderful actress.

Channel surfing hookup!
Lock-Nah4 September 2002
I barely came across the start of the movie due to channel surfing. When I saw Kellie Martin, I left it on that channel. I got more drawn into the movie as it went along, and it was the first time since I have watched a movie from beginning to end at one sitting. It made me cry, laugh, and get angry. I liked both Kellie Martin and Lisa Jakub. I also wish there was a sequel. I would definitely watch it.

Most bizarre teen movie of all times
Lorrana20 June 1999
You've seen Panic, She's All That and a lot of other teen flicks, right? I can assure you haven't seen nothing like this. In a psychiatric hospital for adolescents, five of them run away on the shrink's car. Very strange... The only good thing about it is Joshua Jackson (most known as Dawson's Creek's Pacey Witters), very cute as the boy who believes to be engaged to a extra-terrestrial. Anyway, it's worth a look.

Loved it! Utter "Must See" film!
Jo Fairhead7 January 2002
Yes, it may be a teen film, but it's one of the best ones out there! Basic plot is about a violent boy (James Marsden) and a mentally unstable girl (Kellie Martin) falling in love in very unlikely circumstances. I was used to seeing Kellie Martin as "Lucy Knight" in E.R. so to see her take this part of a paranoid, Lithium psychiatric patient was quite a shock, and she still managed to act brilliantly! Marsden was also great, and really made you believe in his character. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Joshua Jackson (i.e. Pacey Witter is Dawson's Creek) dancing with himself and convinced he was engaged to an alien. I recommend this to anyone that wants to have a quiet night in by themselves or with some friends.

This is the best movie I could ever dream of watching-thanks to James Marsden

This is the most beautiful movie I could ever dream of watching. I watch it 40 times and still love to watch it. It is about a teenager Jake (James Marsden) who is violent against everybody and Zoe (Kellie Martin) who suffers mood swing and trusts nobody. They are sent to a psychiatric institution. Their initial antagonism soon develop into love. They eventually find the cure in their true love to each other. This is another outstanding performance by James Marsden who stars in many great movies/shows such as: Ally McBeal, Sugar and Spice, X-Men, Gossip, Disturbing Behavior, Public Enemies, Gone in a Heartbeat, Second Noah, Boogies Dinner … And look forward for the release of Interstate 60 in Fall 2002 and X-Men 2 in May 2003. James Marsden's God like good looks are heart stopping and his extraordinary acting talent is heart touching. The music throughout the film is wonderful. This TV movie is so much better than so many high budget event movies. They should have made this a feature film. I wish and wish they would have sequels or TV series for this wonderful movie. I wish they would make vhs and dvd for this movie.
