The movie's original Finnish title "Neitoperho" is the Finnish name of the peacock butterfly (Nymphalis io). In Finnish "perho" or "perhonen" is butterfly, and "neito" means a young woman or girl. See more »

Going to sum this up briefly. To me this is the best film from Auli Mantila so far. One of the few truly great new directors of Finnish Cinema. This film to me is one of the best ever done in Finland. Leea Klemola gives performance with extreme intensity. The story is unusual in it's nyances and build with great touch. If you haven't checked this it's well worth ( although it's very hard to find since the company who did it hasn't released it ever properly on DVD !!! ) ... I'm kind of a film fanatic, and to me this is one of those rare gems which never did get the all the praise it would have deserved. Recently did a top ten list to one site where users are suggested to gather one. I found myself adding this there along the works by Leone, Coen's, Tarkovsky, Bertolucci, Campion etc...
