A young boy in a town in Portugal steals some money and is therefore to be sent to the borstal. His mother do not want to let this happen and runs away with him, trying to get to the capitol Lisboa for hiding there. After some time being on this odyssey, bad things start to happen. Written by Benjamin Stello
I saw this film and I only liked the cinematographer's work. The story is deja vu: mother and son on the run because the boy is going to be arrested and sent away. You cannot make a good film with a bad script. and that's what it is... The story is contrived and full of melodramatic touches: all terrible things happen to them... cold wind, crossing a river, rape, car accident. Their problems of running away from the police are never credible. You keep asking "why are they doing this?" or "wouldn't it be a lot more simple if they'd just do that?". This is one of the worst portuguese films I ever saw.
