The Parents Guide for Mononoke-hime can be found here

No. Japanese animated film director and co-founder of Studio Ghibli, an animation studio and production company, Hayao Miyazaki, wrote and directed Mononoke-hime [English: Princess Mononoke].

How is "Hime" pronounced?

The Japanese word Hime, meaning "princess", is pronounced like this: pronounce Hi like in the English word "hit", then pronounce me like in the word "mentor" or "merry (christmas)".

San was Princess Mononoke, a human child thrown to the wolves. Instead of killing her, the wolf adopted her. Notice the scene in Lady Eboshi's garden when she mentions Princess Mononoke, and it then cuts to a shot of San.
