Storyline

Nan, a teen, wakes up alone in a motel bed, walks shakily down a corridor, looks in a room, and sees a youthful boy kissing one of her friends. She flees for the MTA, and as she travels home, she thinks back over the past night. She went out with friends, in part to escape her arguing parents. With friends she takes the train to a motel where they party. She ends up with Bill, but not for long. Back at home, is there solace from the way of the world? Written by <jhailey@hotmail.com>

Beautiful, accurate portrait of teen life.
5 February 2003 | by (Seattle, Washington) – See all my reviews

This film really moved me. It's a very subtle, complex window into the life of a teenage girl. The images are incredibly beautiful, and the music really goes well with the images. Selma Blair doesn't say much, but her performance is understated and quite powerful.I recommend the film to anyone tired of the typical teen movie that has nothing to do with the reality of being a teenager.
