For detailed information about the amounts and types of (a) sex and nudity, (b) violence and gore, (c) profanity, (d) alcohol, drugs, and smoking, and (e) frightening and intense scenes in this movie, consult the IMDb Parents Guide for this movie. The Parents Guide for Men in Black can be found here.

Men in Black is taken from a script by Ed Solomon, who based the screenplay on a Marvel comic book series called The Men in Black by American writer Lowell Cunningham. There are two sequels: Men in Black II (2002) and Men in Black 3 (2012). Untitled 'Men In Black' Spin-Off has been announced, but no release date has been set.

It wasn't completely dead. He just blew it in half, but the half with the head was still alive. Not too uncommon with bugs.

To add a bit of mystery to the story. If he'd said 'the galaxy in the jewel on the cat's collar', the movie would have ended much faster. Actually, Arquillian was indeed trying to tell J that the galaxy was on the cats collar. He just didn't have the correct vocabulary to do so. Note how he stumbles over the word "war". He almost certainly thinks "belt" is the correct word for "collar". And the cat's name is Orion, so he's being accurately descriptive, not deceitful.

The UK version features a slightly censored audio track. The word "prick" was replaced twice. Unfortunately this audio track was used for several European home cinema releases. A detailed comparison between both versions can be found here.
