Pure love and dirty war
Mario Bergeron from Cap-de-la-Madeleine, Canada
15 December 2000
During World War One, in France, a young soldier falls deeply
love with a young teacher, while he is on rehabilitation.
he gets back to the front, doing his duty. Simple but warm
like director Jean-Loup Hubert always do in his very honest
Realistic scenes of war: it's very dirty! Mud everywhere
To make a contrast, the love scenes seems very pure. Very
good work by all the actors, with moving Clotilde Coureau
the star role of Marthe. Good quality film !
