I always say I'm not much into romantic comedies - and yet some of my favorite films ARE romantic comedies.
I had been avoiding this film, finally watched it because it has a lesbian character.
The film is terrific, the dialog is sharp and witty, cracks like a whip; the characters are all well-defined as to who they are, and what their story and motives are.
There's Adam, the painter who is also a taxi driver who used to have Kate as his girlfriend, but Kate left him for Anne an older lesbian. Adam has never really gotten over Kate, but now he's with Nina, but Nina is cheating on him with Kevin. Kevin helps Rebecca get a job at the bar where he also works, and Rebecca thinks she might try lesbian sex after meeting Anne......
Yep, its musical chairs, very funny, and just a touch painful, but all's fair in love and war with this bunch.
I highly recommend it.
