Storyline

Jed and his veterinarian mother are looking after a wolf-dog that was rescued from the Alaskan wilderness after being injured in a long-running spirit battle with a raven. Despite being a wild animal, the dog takes a liking to Jed, who has a poor relationship with his mother. Jed discovers a few strange things about his dog - that may be linked to a proposal to use their town as a toxic-waste dump.
