Storyline

Bernadette and her four children go to London to find their husband and father Spendlove, who left them alone a while back. When she finds him, her brother-in-law Frank offers Spendlove some money to return to Edinburgh with the family. But soon one night Bernadette unexpectedly robs a jewelry store and they have to head north, with obsessive cop Julia Armstrong on their tail.

Excellent, high energy drama.

"The James Gang" is one of those high energy, stylish films with a lot of heart. A rare treat for a British film and a real achievement for a first time feature director (Mike Barker who also gave us "Best Laid Plans"). Although it isn't a "perfect" movie it won't dissapoint those who enjoy well crafted movies
