Another video I got suckered into seeing, just a bunch of guys with a video camera who said "let's make a movie!" This one runs 75 or 80 minutes, and half of that is the opening credits. Little tip for all you wannabe movie makers with a video camera: If you're making a movie with your friends, skip the opening credits. Who cares if Skippy your neighbor and Uncle Waylon are the stars?
Of course, I couldn't watch this whole pile of crap and the disk was dirty too, so I had to end up skipping over a couple scenes, but oddly, I was half way into the movie and still the monster hadn't appeared or done anything, so all I was missing was more bad acting.
My favorite scene is where the lead guy kills some guy accidentally, then he looks to his side, and we get this long, scroll shot around the scenery, which lasts five minutes and has absolutely nothing to do with anything, other than to pad the "movie." Later, the guy has a nightmare, in which we see the same scenes again, more padding.
I've said it before, I'll say it again, if you're trying to make a "movie" on video (and I will not call it a "film," despite in the opening credits, the "director" lists it as a "film by so-and-so" which it is not), get good actors. Even if your actors are bad, rehearse, rehearse, rehearse. Bad actors on video look worse than bad actors on film.
I had to turn it off when the commode "blows up" and for sound effects, the guy obvious got some tin foil or something and crinkles it forever, trying to make the sound of crackling fire which it sounds like anything but.
AVOID.
