Trivia

In the scene where Ursula is going to rescue George from his rescue of the skydiver caught on the Bay Bridge, she is standing on the front of the tugboats bridge. The music being played is the opening bars for "Don't rain on my parade" - a direct reference to 'Barbara Streisand' in "Funny Girl". Streisand sang this song, standing on the bridge of the tugboat as she was racing to meet Nicky Arnstein, her true love. See more »

Quotes

[first lines]
Narrator: Deep in the heart of Africa is a place no man has ever entered. The place that belongs to the lion, the elephant and the ape. A place known as the Bukuvu. Travellers flying overhead can only glimpse at its many marvels, its sparkling rivers, its lush veldts, its billowy cloud formations and its hidden mountains. Never fear, my friends. All was not lost. Scraped and boo-booed, they searched high and low, but they never recovered their most precious cargo.

George is a very funny movie
1 March 2003 | by (Brazil) – See all my reviews

Really, i don't understand because the rating of this movie is low. In my country, this movie bring on the theatre thousands. I give to this movie rating 8. "George of the Jungle" is a adaptation of the cartoon that has the same name. Really, i prefer a thousand times the movie than the cartoon. This movie it's very funny, Brendan Frasier is hilarious played George also his co-star Leslie is lovely. Also, we don't forget the George's friends, Ape and Elephant that are responsible for very good moments in this movie. There are few movies that i laugh so many times as "George of the Jungle".

"George of the Jungle" is a very funny movie.
