Harvey Weinstein Officially Resigns from The Weinstein Company Board

17 October 2017 11:25 AM, PDT | Indiewire | See recent Indiewire news »

Harvey Weinstein has resigned from the board of The Weinstein Company following the numerous sexual harassment and abuse allegations made against him. Weinstein had previously been fired from his position as co-chairman of the company on October 8, but he had remained a board member until announcing his resignation Tuesday. Weinstein continues to own 22% of the company’s stock, according to Variety.

The company’s remaining board members include Harvey’s brother, Bob Weinstein, and there is apparently tension among the executives over whether or not the company should be sold in order to save it. Multiple reports have cited Colony Capital as the likeliest buyer, though Bob said in his official statement last that the company was not for sale.

Lena Headey Accuses Harvey Weinstein of Sexual Harassment: ‘I Felt Completely Powerless’

17 October 2017 9:30 AM, PDT | Indiewire Television | See recent Indiewire Television news »

Lena Headey has accused Harvey Weinstein of sexual harassment in a series of four tweets posted to her official Twitter page that detail an encounter with the former head of The Weinstein Company that left the “Game of Thrones” star in tears. Headey first met Weinstein at the Venice Film Festival where she was promoting Terry Gilliam’s “The Brothers Grimm.” Miramax was co-distributor of the movie that also starred Matt Damon and Heath Ledger.

“At one point Harvey asked me to take a walk down to the water, I walked down with him and he stopped and made some suggestive comment, a gesture, I just laughed it off, I was genuinely shocked,” Headey writes. “I remember thinking, ‘It’s got to be a joke.’ I said something like, ‘Oh come on mate?! It’d be like kissing my dad! Let’s go get a drink, get back to the others. »

13 October 2017 5:30 AM, PDT | Popsugar.com | See recent Popsugar news »

This week, a 2011 video resurfaced that showed Jason Momoa joking that his role in Game of Thrones meant he "got to rape beautiful women." The clip, from that year's Comic-Con, shows Jason cracking the joke before hiding under his coat as he notices the reactions from costars including Kit Harington, Emilia Clarke, and Lena Headey. tw: rapea horrific clip of jason momoa saying he loved working on #gameofthrones bc he "got to rape beautiful women." men are trash. pic.twitter.com/K2RBmsWEt6 - elizabeth (@peeanofreek) October 12, 2017 Unsurprisingly, the twittersphere was not happy to see this moment resurface and quickly called out the actor for the inappropriate nature of the joke. Ahahahahaha! Brilliant. Rape beautiful women. Funny. BiFan: ‘The Twin’ Heads Awards at Naff Genre Project Market

19 July 2017 6:47 AM, PDT | Variety - Film News | See recent Variety - Film News news »

The $14,000 (KRW15 million) Bucheon Award to “The Twin” brought to a close on Tuesday the 10th edition of Naff. The genre film project market has become an integral part of the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival, better known as BiFan, in South Korea.

Other notable winners were “Man of Sin,” an ambitious thriller by first time Chinese writer-director Will Bu, which earned two prizes, and “Imaginable,” a Korea-U.S. animation by Chris Martin.

Bu said he had spent years preparing his thank you speech, which he peppered with expletives and a warning about too much fame. Taneli Mustoonen and Aleksi Hyvarinen, the Finnish director and producer of “The Twin,” in contrast, thanked the Seoul bus driver who had paid their fare after the pair had become lost in the mega city with no money, no language skills, and two smart phones exhausted from taking photos all evening.

‘Better Call Saul’ Review: Jimmy Is, Once Again, ‘A Little Bit Crooked’

17 April 2017 8:10 PM, PDT | Indiewire | See recent Indiewire news »

Last Week’S Review: Brotherly Love Goes Bad as Danger Mounts in the Season 3 Premiere

[Editor’s note: The following contains spoilers for “Better Call Saul” Season 3, Episode 2, “Witness.”]

Case Summary

On the surface, things initially look good for fledging law practice Wexler-McGill — at the very least, they’ve got a pip of a new assistant and fancy new wall art. However, there’s danger lurking thanks to a tip-off from Ernie about Chuck’s recording of Jimmy’s confession. Kim has a legal strategy mapped out to take care of things, but when Jimmy loses his temper and decides to take matters into his own hands, the results are explosive.

Meanwhile, Mike’s efforts to figure out who’s been tracking him lead to everyone’s favorite chicken joint: Los Pollos Hermanos, where some very familiar faces lie in wait. The episode ends with Mike getting a call — a call which seems likely to change his life.

What Happened to Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Kim Zolciak’s Face?

12 March 2017 1:00 PM, PDT | TVovermind.com | See recent TVovermind.com news »

Kim Zolciak is no stranger to television or to social media. In fact the 38-year-old reality star of Real Housewives of Atlanta was quoted as saying “I’m motivated by money, definitely motivated by money.” This quote was in response to a question she was asked about returning to the show for another year. Apparently Zolciak wants to hold out for more money. She and Phaedra Parks seem to be the two that carry the ratings which very well might give her leverage. However, contract discussions aren’t what’s been in the news regarding Kim lately. It’s her face. Since Zolciak is

Trespass Against Us: another British gangster movie in which crime doesn’t pay off

This father-son tale set in rural Britain lacks the twisted bite of its Us counterparts and can’t decide what it’s really about

British crime movies have never been short of dysfunctional families. Think of the brothers in Get Carter, and how the survivor once impregnated his dead brother’s wife. Or the Kray twins – be they Kemps or Hardys – the mentally ill brother taking the sane one down with him, come what may, and a wife driven to suicide by their toxic relationship. Or Ray Winstone in Face, a loving dad brought to grief by his daughter’s boyfriend, a bent Met copper.
