A recurring theme in the movie is the older sister's going through puberty and her emerging sexual feelings. In one scene she appears wearing make up and clothes which are not age appropriate and is scolded by her mother.

A doctor examines a female patient in her bedroom. It is implied that they have sex.

A man and a woman flirt with each other. She is sitting on a counter and he stands between her legs and touches her thigh.

References to infidelity are made in the film

Towards the end a girl accuses her father of having kissed her in a sexual manner. We see two different versions of this event, one where he tries to force himself on her and another where she kisses him in a sexual manner and he fights her off.

A man slaps his daughter while drunk and immediately regrets it.

A woman's husband shoots her lover.

A man shoots another man in an argument over a woman.
