Is this a pleasant movie experience? At times, no. It gets too real. The fact is, I can imagine these lines coming out of the mouths of several people I know, and I have spent evenings that took exactly the same tone as this.
It's a story about a group of sad characters who don't really like each other but have nothing better to do. Everyone's searching for an identity, everyone has a chip on their shoulder, everyone's insecure, and everyone is abusive to everyone else and to themselves.
I had to watch this movie twice to like it. The first time was just too raw. Perfectly captures the tone of late-teens early-twenties folk who couldn't figure out what to do after high school.
