A man gets out of a tub of water. His buttocks are shown repeatedly.

We briefly see a woman undress. We see her breasts and a brief full frontal view.

We see a glimpse of a dead naked woman twice (with some blood).

All of the nudity described above is seen within the first half hour. The 2 scenes of the dead topless woman happens quick with no warning, but the naked hooker undresses slowly with her breasts in the foreground of the camera for a few seconds.

There is also another dead woman shown later in the movie. She is not completely topless, but much of her breast is shown because her top is unbuttoned and her chest is bloody and cut up.

An alien has the top of his head cut off.

A man is hanged.

We see a bloody corpse.

One alien is squished between two buildings, we see blood squirt out.

A few aliens are shot, there's some blood.

Dark City includes no coarse language.

Johnny and Uncle Carl smoke while watching old slides in his apartment.

An alien's head splits open and a tentacle creature crawls out of it.

The overall atmosphere is not meant for kids due the philosophical content.
